October 15, 2013 By LBSzone

Geographic Technologies Group (GTG) welcomes Salisbury, N.C. to the community of 311GIS users.  311GIS is an easy-to-use online solution for citizen issue reporting. Goldsboro, NC is currently using 311GIS for web, Android and IOS platforms.

311GIS is an easy-to-use Esri-based interface that allows the public to submit a request in a variety of categories, including Public Works and Code Enforcement.  It offers a large map for easy viewing and provides users with the ability to follow other submitted requests. Additionally, users can add comments and pictures to any request.

“GTG is excited to implement 311GIS in Salisbury,” said Jerry Swanson, GIS Solutions Provider at GTG. “311GIS will help the City to continue promoting a faster and more effective workflow for their citizens. With the ability to map a wide variety of information in a single, easy-to-use public web portal, 311GIS will help citizens become involved and excited about what is happening in their community.”

311GIS will provide a noticeable return-on-investment for Salisbury, saving time and valuable resources for both citizens and city personnel.  It gives citizens access to important and relevant information. 311GIS is free to the public.  Salisbury citizens can experience 311GIS by clicking the following link: Salisbury, NC 311GIS or by downloading the application from the Android Play Store or from iTunes.
