Amazon updates tablets to Fire OS 3.1: Goodreads and wireless display

If you’ve read this, you know that Android without Google is a bit of a barren landscape. Manufacturers interested in doing Android without Google have their work cut out for them as they attempt to provide a solid experience for users.Amazon has done just that with its Fire OS, even going so far as to build out cloud services and APIs to enable app behaviors that Google provides on its own platform. With the latest Kindle Fire, we got a look at Fire OS 3.0, Amazon’s take on Android 4.3 “Jelly Bean.” Just a few months later, we now have Fire OS 3.1, a collection of features, updates, and bug fixes that should be available soon for your Amazon tablet of choice.
