GPS, FBI aircraft used in hunt for Dunkin’ Donuts suspect

Investigators used a GPS tracking device and FBI surveillance plane to help gather evidence against a Dedham man they believe is responsible for a string of robberies at Dunkin’ Donuts stores across eastern Massachusetts, court documents show.Prosecutors have only charged Isaiah Murphy, 23, in connection with two summertime robberies at the same Dunkin’ Donuts in Canton, but that could change if he is indicted by a grand jury, they said.

Police say there were 22 “seemingly related” armed robberies at Dunkin’ Donuts stores, gas stations and convenience stores in the past nine months. Investigators believe they have evidence connecting Murphy to at least 15 of those robberies, according to their request for a search warrant of his home
