ArmCode Offers Easy Way to Extract Images from Android APK Files

December 24, 2013 By LBSzone

ArmCode releases its new product aimed to help Android developers to pull images from APK files. APK Image Extractor does not require any Android SDK or libraries installed, yet allows to easily extract individual PNG and JPEG images or image sets thanks to the super easy-to-use interface.

When it comes to retrieving images from Android APK files developers often have to deal with tools offering nothing more than a cryptic command line. If such a tool also requires complete Android SDK and Java runtime installed to function properly, the simple by definition process becomes unreasonably cumbersome.

ArmCode helps Android developers by releasing APK Image Extractor, an ultimately easy way to extract buttons, launcher and action bar icons, menu and dialogs icons, logos, backgrounds and any other images in JPEG and PNG formats from APK files. Unlike native Android tools, the program wraps the process into a straightforward and simple interface, so a user doesn’t have to handle cryptic command line parameters and console-style apps.

APK Image Extractor provides 100% support for APK files without any SDK or libraries required. Multi-volume and nested APK files are also supported as standard, so pulling out images remains automatic no matter how many files are being processed and how complex those files are. APK Image Extractor didn’t sacrifice functionality to GUI, though. In fact, the batch mode is still there, so if a user needs to process multiple APK files the affair won’t become any tougher.

Individual or multiple images, PNG or JPEG, APK Image Extractor does its job quickly and reliably while not wasting any spare minute of developer’s time.

 Pricing and availability

APK Image Extractor is available for any Windows OS, and costs $29.95 per license.
