Get Fit Tip! Bing Health & Fitness app for Windows 8.1

January 7, 2014 By LBSzone

The New Year is here and it’s time to tackle your resolutions. 41 percent of people want to improve their health and lose weight in 2014, according to a recent survey from Bing and Impulse Research, and we’re seeing the same trends on Bing. In the days leading up to the New Year, “healthy recipes” searches spiked more than 45 percent. On New Year’s Day, searches for Weight Watchers spiked nearly 60 percent.

When it comes to diets, Bing search trends revealed people are looking for Weight Watchers most often this New Year, followed by Jenny Craig and the Mediterranean Diet. As you make plans to make your resolutions stick, the Bing Health & Fitness app for Windows 8.1 makes it easy with nutritional information for more than 200,000 foods, so you can compare various items and make sure you’re making the healthiest choices. The app also has a food journal, so you can monitor your daily meals and view your progress. You can even compare foods to make more informed decisions and learn about diet programs from Atkins to Zone. Learn about nutrients and calories, including what they do for the body and what it takes to burn them off.

Unfortunately though, in our time-starved world, it’s not surprising people say they don’t have enough time to accomplish their New Year’s resolutions. If your busy day keeps you from hitting the gym, you can check out the app for at-home workout suggestions. It has more than 1,000 step-by-step exercise videos designed for home use, with or without equipment, for all fitness levels so you can work out anywhere. And if you’re too busy to get in a whole workout, select an area that needs some attention and the app will suggest workouts that target that area. With this app, you can stay on track by finding a workout that fits your schedule.

No matter what your health goals are in 2014, the Bing Health & Fitness app for Windows 8.1 has everything you need. Here’s to a healthy New Year.
