Motorola CEO questions the need for tablets

Motorola CEO Dennis Woodside has questioned the need for tablets, stating that unlike smartphones, the larger screen devices are a luxury rather than a necessity.Speaking exclusively with TrustedReviews recently, Woodside revealed that not only are tablets not on Motorola’s immediate roadmap, he does not fully understand the need for such a device.

“Everybody needs a phone. Does everybody need a tablet? I’m not sure,” the Motorola CEO questioned.

Merging his and the company’s opinions, he added: “Do I need a tablet and a phone? I don’t know.
