Navigation Giant Sygic Launches New Mobile Workforce Platform

January 30, 2014 By LBSzone

Bratislava, Slovakia – January 30, 2014 – Sygic, the GPS navigation giant with 33 million users in 115 countries, today announced the open beta of Sygic Job Dispatch, an application suite that allows companies to quickly dispatch and navigate their mobile workforce for tasks like repairs and deliveries.

The application suite (available to try for FREE) is an ideal solution for companies in industries like delivery/transport, IT, utilities and pharmaceuticals who need simple mobile workforce management solution that helps organize tasks and employees.

The field service management software market reached $1.2 billion in revenues in 2012 (and according to Gartner is growing at 12.7 percent annually), but there remains a critical need for a mobile workforce management solution that puts navigation front and center, especially for businesses whose livelihood depends on faster deliveries and low response times.

“We wanted to fill a big hole in most mobile workforce management software that suffers from the lack of a well-implemented navigation functionality, which can cost drivers time and money. Given our previous experience developing customized navigation solutions for businesses in areas like the trucking industry, we felt the time was right to create our navigation-focused dispatch service,” Sygic CEO Michal Štencl said. “It’s an ideal solution for small companies in both urban and rural locations who can’t afford to have drivers getting lost or stuck in traffic, as well as for businesses where on-time deliveries are necessary for their survival.”

Sygic Job Dispatch includes an online desktop component for dispatchers to schedule jobs and an Android app for mobile employees to receive work plans as well as get navigation directions from either Sygic’s GPS navigation or Google Maps. Dispatchers simply create the job and assign it to an employee, who can be tracked in real time as they make their way to the job. Once a job is complete, employees can send a photo (such as a delivery destination, shipment waybill) to the dispatcher for verification.

Alongside integration with Sygic’s mapping software, features of Sygic Job Dispatch include:

  • Seamless job dispatching to drivers’ phones
  • Schedule jobs in advance on any computer
  • Real-time employee location tracking
  • Employee job completion verification via photo
  • Detailed performance and job history reviewing

Sygic Job Dispatch is available for businesses to try for free on Sygic’s website at

http://www.sygic.com/jobdispatch. Consumers who want to join the 33 million who use Sygic’s navigation software can download Sygic GPS Navigation from the iOS App Store or Google Play.
