UK pioneers new technology to combat GPS jamming

GPS is the most widely-used positioning technology in the world today, with a vast array of military, civil and commercial applications, but for some time the industry has been forced to admit that the technology is vulnerable to attack.Developed in 1973 to overcome the limitations of previous navigation systems, GPS (Global Positioning System) provides location and time information in all weather conditions, anywhere on the Earth where there is an unobstructed line of sight to four or more GPS satellites.
