San Francisco, Calif., – Feb. 19, 2014 – Celltick, a global leader in mobile initiated commerce, today announced its partnership with iWireless, a leading regional wireless communications provider serving Iowa, western Illinois, and eastern Nebraska, to offer a more engaging mobile experience to subscribers via the start screen. With this partnership, Celltick’s Start interface will be pre-loaded on devices to provide iWireless subscribers with an enhanced user experience, while providing faster access to their most favorite and frequently used applications and functions.
Start is a next-generation Android interface, providing intelligent and dynamic functionality so users can get the most from their mobile phones. With Start, users get quick access to the most relevant features and information as soon as they wake their phones. Celltick enables operators, like iWireless, to bring more value to their subscriber, while providing a means to effectively engage subscribers through the customer relationship lifecycle to encourage monetization and brand loyalty.
The iWireless subscribers will benefit from access to Facebook, Twitter, local weather forecasts, and a host of local news providers to make the start screen more personalized. Start will allow users to access what matters to them the most on the start screen, while the back end recommendation engine learns and adapts the screen according to users’ behavior. iWireless works in partnership between T-Mobile USA and Iowa Network Services to bring wireless services to hundreds of thousands of subscribers in North America.
“We are very excited to be the first operator in the U.S. to partner with Celltick to provide a personalized mobile experience for our users through a Start based interface,” said Craven Shumaker, President and CEO of iWireless. “With Start, our subscribers can customize their device with the functionality at their fingertips to access relevant features even faster, and we are still able to offer local values and deals that are intelligently targeted to their interests.”
“By breaking ground in the North American market, we are looking forward to bringing iWireless subscribers the very best personalization features to keep their users engaged with relevant content,” said Ronen Daniel, CEO of Celltick. “As more operators look to create new lines of revenue and engage more customers, Celltick is ready to offer operators with a medium to reach more customers and create new lines of revenue. We are thrilled with this partnership, and look forward to cultivating more operator relationships in the year to come.”
The growing Start ecosystem includes hundreds of themes and plug-ins that are available for download on Google Play. In 2013, Celltick powered billions of mobile-initiated commerce transactions for virtual and physical goods serving more than 110 million active consumers across 25 countries.
