Cloud-based Communications, Mobility, and Even Fax Innovations are Driving Extensions to Omtool AccuRoute Document Capture Suite

Solutions to automate new document communication and handling requirements of law firms and legal departments will be demonstrated by Omtool at the annual ILTA Conference

ANDOVER, Mass.–()–Omtool™, Ltd. (OMTL.PK), the trusted provider of document capture and workflow solutions, today announced in keeping up with the latest technology advancements, Omtool will be demonstrating new capabilities for scanning to cloud-based repositories, mobile capture and new fax offerings to its flagship product, AccuRoute® document capture and fax platform, at the annual ILTA Conference.

“Omtool helps us further streamline workflow processes, optimize document processing, and increase overall scanning”

Today’s law firms must focus on an array of technologies to meet their growing communication and document-related requirements. Omtool AccuRoute for document capture and fax has been employed by a large number of law firms and legal departments (of all sizes) for a number of years, often times becoming a critical component of their core communications infrastructure. From a fundamental infrastructure perspective, legal document management systems remain a core integration requirement for document scanning solutions. Omtool continues to provide support and enhancements for these document management systems as well as its newly added integration with cloud-based repositories. The company is also offering new packaging and pricing options specifically designed for law firms to meet their unique document requirements as it has done with their most recent offering for Worldox users.

Many law firms continue to have a high reliance on fax-based communications. This was confirmed in a recent survey conducted by Omtool where over 65% of respondents indicated Fax over IP (FoIP) is driving updates to current fax systems, which can result in significant cost savings. Alternatively, many firms are looking to integrate with cloud-based fax systems, which can also be done directly from Omtool’s AccuRoute infrastructure. Uniquely, Omtool offers both document capture and fax in one cohesive software package from a single provider.

Mobility is also having a significant impact on document capture and fax-based communications. As user expectations increase to have the same infrastructure connectivity on mobile devices as they do at their desktop, Omtool responded with AccuRoute Mobile to provide this capability. AccuRoute Mobile includes immediate capture and straight-through delivery from a mobile device (iOS or Android) to the firm’s document management system, email or other systems, regardless of where the user is.

As technology changes impact document capture and fax infrastructures, Omtool continues to work with its legal clients to ensure they are able to take advantage of the latest technology advances and optimize their current document-driven environments. By partnering with its clients and providing assessment services, Omtool is able to assist in meeting technology advancements and evolving business needs. “Omtool helps us further streamline workflow processes, optimize document processing, and increase overall scanning,” said Tim Minsterman, Infrastructure Systems Specialist, Nixon Peabody.

Omtool solutions will be featured in booth #500 at the Annual ILTA Conference in Nashville, August 18th through August 21st.
