Developer Economics + Smart City Hack – Developer Economics survey

October 30, 2014 By LBSzone

VisionMobile has just launched their latest Developer Economics survey and is tracking developer trends across platforms, app revenues and dev tools – as well as investigating the emerging IoT market.

So what are the latest trends in app development you’re seeing?
Which platform is the best for monetising your apps?
Which is the right revenue model for your apps?
Do you think IoT is here to stay or just a fad?

WIN GREAT PRIZES!
Aside from contributing to the research, respondents to the survey will also get a chance to win some great prizes, including an iPhone 6, an Oculus Rift DevKit, and a Samsung Gear Smartwatch!

MAKE SURE YOUR OPINION COUNTS!
Take the survey and contribute to this research here: http://vmob.me/DE1Q15DevLabs

Open to young students and professionals up to 28 years old, this hack is designed to encourage young people from China and the EU to collaborate, share ideas and jointly create mobile apps that address today’s pressing societal challenges.

Submit your application no later than 7 December
If you’re selected, you’ll be paired up in a team where you’ll develop a smart cities app idea in collaboration at an all-expenses paid hackathon in Brussels in early February 2014. You’ll benefit from extensive technical education, training and mentoring, online and offline and if your team wins, there’s a prize pool of 35,000 EUR, which teams can use to get their apps to market (All IP is retained by teams)
