Voxofon Named One of the Fastest Growing Technology Companies in Houston for Second Consecutive Year

December 16, 2014 By LBSzone

HOUSTON, Dec. 16, 2014 – Voxofon (www.voxofon.com), a rapidly growing provider of mobile apps utilizing over-the-top (OTT) voice and messaging services, is among the fastest growing technology companies in Houston, according to the Houston Business Journal’s annual rankings. Voxofon was listed 15th, achieving revenue growth of 103 percent from 2011 to 2013. The Houston Business Journal’s Fast-Tech 50 ranks the fastest growing technology companies in the Houston area based on percentage of annual revenue growth. This is the second consecutive year that Voxofon has earned this distinction.

Voxofon apps offer free app-to-app texts and calls across any iOS, Android, Windows, or BlackBerry device and provides inexpensive international calling and SMS messaging to any phone number including feature phones and landlines. No other OTT provider matches Voxofon’s cross-platform capabilities, broad range of functionality or exceptional user experience.

“Despite an increasingly competitive market, we are adding thousands of new users every day and have a very strong base of nearly 3 million users who continue utilizing Voxofon’s apps to stay connected with friends, family and business associates through voice, video and messaging,” said Alexey Goloshubin, CEO of Voxofon. “As this market continues to grow and mature, we must adapt and deliver value as we expand to new customer segments. The launch of Bit6 earlier this year demonstrates our ability to innovate and will be a significant area of focus and growth as we move into 2015.”

Launched in March 2014, Bit6 is a communications as-a-service platform that helps mobile and Web application developers transform the app experience by easily integrating communication features into their mobile and Web applications with just a few lines of code.

“Similar to the way Google provides map functionality to any mobile or Web application developer through easy-to-use APIs and SDKs, Bit6 enables developers to integrate features such as voice/video calling, messaging and photo/video sharing seamlessly into their apps,” said Goloshubin.

Bit6 currently has beta software development kits (SDKs) available for iOS, Android and JavaScript, connecting users, apps and devices through an ecosystem of integrated technologies including Web Real-Time Communication (WebRTC), Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) and public switched telephone network (PSTN).  Developers can see all the current platform features at http://demo.bit6.com.
