Garmin Delta XC Series: Bringing New Features to its Popular Line of E-Collars for Dogs

March 25, 2015 By LBSzone

Garmin International Inc., a unit of Garmin Ltd. (NASDAQ: GRMN), today announced the Delta XC series – proven electronic dog training devices with new, premium features in one compact and easy-to-use system.

E-Collars for Dogs

“The Delta series has been popular since its introduction nearly two years ago”

“The Delta series has been popular since its introduction nearly two years ago,” said Dan Bartel, Garmin’s vice president of worldwide sales. “Since that time, our customers have given us great feedback, and we listened. The new XC line has new features like changeable contact points and an improvement in stimulation levels. These new units give amateur trainers and professionals alike more control with the same simplicity as before.”

The new collars feature two sets of removable contact points – either standard length, or a longer version for long haired or thick coated dogs. The stimulation pattern has also been adjusted to better match the temperament of a wider range of dogs, and it’s now easier than ever to quickly adjust corrections from the handheld, as well as train up to three dogs.

The Delta XC is a sleek, ergonomic, and simple-to-use electronic training system for dog owners who want to teach their canine companion new commands, or refocus them away from unwanted behaviors. Functioning as a “virtual leash,” the Delta XC gives dog owners a wide range of customizable correction settings, including tone, vibration, and 18 levels of momentary and continuous stimulation for up to three dogs at up to half a mile away (additional dog devices sold separately).

The Delta Sport XC adds a BarkLimiter mode to help put an end to nuisance barking, which has been improved to allow the user to train with the system while the BarkLimiter mode is currently on, and choose from either a fixed level or autorise stimulation to keep barking to a minimum. Range is three-quarters of a mile, and includes five training configurations (instead of three in the Delta XC).

The Delta Upland XC has all the features of the Delta Sport XC, also incorporates the industry-leading Tri-Tronics™ Upland G3 Beeper – a convenient and economical way to keep tabs on dogs remotely, whether they’re in thick cover or rolling terrain. The Delta Upland XC also has 36 levels of momentary stimulation, in addition to 18 levels of continuous correction as well as tone and vibration.

The lightweight and compact Delta XC family handheld and collar unit are waterproof in one meter of water for up to 30 minutes – and the transmitter floats. Both the handheld and collar unit come with rechargeable batteries.

The Delta XC series will be available in the second quarter of 2015.

The Delta XC dog training system is the latest innovation in Garmin’s growing outdoor segment, which focuses on developing technologies to enhance users’ outdoor experiences and their relationships with their canine companions. Whether it’s handhelds, wearables, action cameras, or dog training systems, Garmin devices are essential tools for outdoor enthusiasts of all levels. For more information about Garmin’s other outdoor products and services, go to www.garmin.com/dogs.
