SenionLab Showcases ROI of Indoor Positioning at HIMMS16

March 2, 2016 By LBSzone

LINKÖPING, Sweden–There are many financial advantages for using indoor positioning systems within healthcare organizations. Christian Lundquist, CEO and cofounder of SenionLab, will discuss these benefits on March 2 at HIMMS16, which runs from February 29 through March 4 in Las Vegas.

“Indoor positioning can benefit patients, staff and the bottom line, especially as IoT moves into hospitals. Location-based services can both enhance the patient experience and reduce wasted time spent looking for people and equipment.”

The HIMMS16 conference, “Transforming Health through IT,” brings together 40,000 healthcare professional and executives. The event this year will focus on the ways in which mobile and wireless technologies can help support patient engagement, self-health management and prevention strategies.

Mr. Lundquist will discuss how equipment tagging, positioning beacons and indoor positioning software work with cell phones and other handheld devices, quickly providing a return on investment in lost time, maintenance and patient satisfaction. He will elaborate on actual use cases and studies.

“Finding equipment, people and places in hospitals can be time- and resource-consuming for both staff and patients,” said Lundquist. “Indoor positioning can benefit patients, staff and the bottom line, especially as IoT moves into hospitals. Location-based services can both enhance the patient experience and reduce wasted time spent looking for people and equipment.”
