Greenlight debuts its SmartCradle and Dashware app, turning mobile phones into dash cameras

June 16, 2016 By LBSzone

Tech industry veterans, led by CEO Jason Green, are back in action to make mobile phones safer, more useful on the road

SEATTLE, WA, May 10, 2016 – Greenlight (www.greenlight.life) today announced pre-order availability of its new SmartCradle product for iOS and Android.

Greenlight has created a market disruptive technology that enables the smartphone as a connected platform in the car. The Greenlight platform consists of a dash-mounted SmartCradle, paired with its Dashware app, which enables the phone to record driving video footage alongside driving data. The phone is also safely stored and charged while in the SmartCradle, without disrupting access to features like music, maps, and communications.

Greenlight provides a smarter alternative to dash cameras at a fraction of the cost of stand-alone cameras. The Greenlight product offers a solution on the platform that consumers are most comfortable with: their mobile phone.

“At any given moment across the U.S., approximately 600,000 drivers are using cell phones while driving. Consumers looking for a way to safely use their phones in their car can now turn to the solution offered by Greenlight,” said founder and CEO Jason Green. “The SmartCradle is our foundation for making the phone safer and more useful on the road. Greenlight will add features to our Dashware app that benefit users well beyond what they see today.”

Founded by Jason Green, the former co-founder of Contour Inc., Greenlight is supported by a team of user experience experts, and is partnered with top notch technology companies like Sirqul (www.sirqul.com) to provide consumers the best and safest way to make use of the mobile phone on the road.

The Greenlight SmartCradle is available for pre-order now, shipping this fall, for just $49.
