Avoid Waiting in Line with New QLess App

June 17, 2016 By LBSzone

Pasadena, California Tech Company Attracts $3.5 Million in New Investment, Appoints New Board Member

Pasadena, CA June 16th 2016 – QLess (www.qless.com) today announced the release of the QLess app, which allows users to reduce wait times and avoid waiting in line. The app, which is available for iPhone and Android devices, helps organizations eliminate lines in industries including retail, higher education, healthcare, government, and logistics. QLess recently raised $3.5 million in capital investment and appointed experienced enterprise software executive Michael Bell to its board of directors.

The QLess cloud-based platform eliminates lines by offering an easy way for customers to join a virtual queue via app, phone call, text, website, or on-site kiosk. Timely updates and notifications alert customers as they move to the front of the queue so they’re always kept in the loop with forecast wait times and can tend to other business while they wait.

“We give time back to millions of people who otherwise would have to waste time standing in line,” said Dr. Alex Bäcker, CEO of QLess. “Around the world, our customers can now offer iPhone and Android users a superior customer experience with the QLess app. I’m thrilled that our app has already received 4.5 out of 5 stars in the Android Play store.”

QLess recently received $3.5 million in True Growth Capital from Wellington Financial LP, a privately held specialty investment firm. “We are impressed with the transformative technology QLess provides,” said Eric Speer, Vice President, Wellington Financial. “QLess is pioneering in an area that benefits all of us: creating a world without lines.”

The company also announced the appointment of Michael Bell, President and COO of lifecycle management software company Bridg, to its Board of Directors. Bell is a veteran software entrepreneur and CEO. For the past 20 years, he has served as in executive positions at early-stage tech startups and public companies. Bell has led companies such as Infrascale, SOS Online Backup, 3PL Central, Software.com, and Encore Software.
