Vincit, selected as Europe’s best place to work, expands to Silicon Valley

June 17, 2016 By LBSzone

The name Vincit comes from Latin and means ‘to conquer’ or ‘to win’.  In just nine years, Vincit has truly conquered the Finnish market and has grown into a highly respected software development and design company, currently employing 290 expert professionals.

Today, Vincit has been selected as the best place to work in Europe by Great Place to Work.  It has also been ranked first in Finland for three consecutive years.

Vincit has provided its customers with hundreds of information systems and mobile applications for all major platforms.  The diverse client base includes companies such as GE Healthcare, Nokia, TeliaSonera, CGI, and Yoogaia. Special areas of expertise include medical device software, health-care systems, wellness, and virtual reality applications.

The next step for Vincit is to conquer the U.S. market.  The company’s first office in the United States is in the heart of Silicon Valley, in Palo Alto.  The head of the U.S. office and the passionate CEO of Vincit California, Inc., Ville Houttu, says: “Vincit will revolutionize the working culture in Silicon Valley.  To be a great developer, you don’t need to work overtime, tolerate internal politics, plan budgets, or play around with managers at different levels of the hierarchy.  These are the most common practices that limit people’s creativity and performance, so we got rid of them all.”

Vincit is known for its exceptionally high level of customer satisfaction.  “Our model creates the most satisfied employees, who in return provide top quality and high performance software design services for our clients,” Ville Houttu explains.

One of Vincit’s satisfied customers is Superoperator, Inc., a company that is reinventing the car-wash business.  Superoperator recently won the Blue Arrow Award for a digital solution that can change the industry.

The technology behind Superoperator is completely implemented by Vincit.  Superoperator is already running dozens of car-wash stations in Europe, and the first US-based station has been opened in Holland, Michigan.

Ryan Essenburg, CEO of Tommy Car Wash Systems, says: “The car-wash business has been resting on its laurels for the past 50 years.  I was really blown away when I learned about Superoperator, and it has already revolutionized our business.  Customers’ cars are recognized by their license plates, and the wash program is selected using a state-of-the-art mobile app. Customer satisfaction and retention is top notch, and the technology works flawlessly.  I’m truly impressed.”

Vincit is also planning an IPO this year on the NASDAQ OMX First North market, to raise capital for international expansion.
