Wingtra, the professional drone manufacturer, is opening a US office to scale business processes in the Americas

August 31, 2018 By lbszoneditor

Wingtra, the Swiss drone company that develops and manufactures professional VTOL (vertical take-off and landing) drones for mapping and surveying applications, is furthering its expansion into the US market. Wingtra is opening a new office on the East Coast, US by the end of 2018. The exact location of the coming office is being decided in the meantime.

“We are taking this initiative to be closer to our US customers and with greater presence through overcoming time-zone differences and offering a deeper network of support in the Americas”, — commented Maximilian Boosfeld, the CEO of Wingtra.

The new office will be opening many opportunities for professionals to join the Wingtra team in America. Wingtra is currently on the lookout particularly for individuals in sales and support, with a strong emphasis on interpersonal skills and knowledge of the drone market.

“Despite our background in robotics, we want to ensure a human element in communication between us and our customers. This is a key reason for opening a new office in the US. We look forward to adding more skilled Wingtranauts to our team who would complement the current headquarters in Zurich. We predict that the team will rapidly expand, so be on the lookout for new exciting positions over the next months to apply”, added Maximilian Boosfeld.

Wingtra’s VTOL drone WingtraOne takes-off and lands as a multicopter but flies in the air as a fixed wing aircraft. This technology eliminates the risk of damaging the aircraft while landing, lets the drone carry professional sensors (e.g. 40MP Sony RX1RII) and still allows mapping of large areas. This combination makes WingtraOne especially attractive for the surveying and mapping professionals.

About Wingtra

Recently the company has raised additional $5.8M to meet the demand in 2018 and partnered with biggest surveying, mining and precision agriculture equipment dealers across the globe.
