Free Scout App for Android Includes New Social Meet Up and ETA Features

October 30, 2013 By LBSzone

Telenav’s free Scout app for Android devices offers very competent turn-by-turn navigation, and it has just been upgraded with new social and estimated time of arrival (ETA) features. The new Scout takes meet-up further than any other app that I’m aware of, by allowing an entire group of people to share a a single address, then navigating them there, while sharing on the map the real-time location and ETA for each driver.

“Coordinating location and timing when meeting friends can be challenging and frustrating – especially for people who are busy and on the go all the time,” said Matt Dimmick, product manager for Scout for Android. “Our real-time social meet up and ETA sharing features will reduce the hassle of waiting around or having to call or text people to find out where they are.”
