StreetEasy Reinvents NYC Home Search with New Fleet of Apps and Mobile Web Experience for Renters and Buyers

September 30, 2014 By LBSzone

First-ever Android app, iPad app and mobile web experience provide instant, on-location access to the most comprehensive database of NYC real estate listings and information

Today, StreetEasy®, the leading real estate marketplace in New York City, launched the company’s first StreetEasy Android™ app, StreetEasy iPad® app and responsive mobile web experience. Alongside the redesigned iPhone® app that launched this past June, StreetEasy now powers the largest collection of dedicated New York City real estate apps for home buyers and renters.

StreetEasy’s unparalleled database of for-sale and for-rent listings, plus data on all homes and apartments, is instantly accessible on the world’s most popular mobile platforms, allowing home buyers, renters, and real estate professionals to effortlessly explore what’s on the market in a specific neighborhood or building based on location, search for open houses, view floorplans and full-screen photos, access property histories and more.

Similar to the iPhone app, the Android and iPad apps include features built specifically for the fast-paced, complex New York real estate market. Upon opening the apps, users can quickly find relevant listings by narrowing their search criteria by filters like building amenities, price, and housing type (condo, co-op, townhouse etc.). StreetEasy also offers the largest inventory of no-fee rentals, providing renters with the most options during their search. Full map and Street View™ options are just a tap away on every rental and for-sale listing, allowing users to virtually tour any block regardless of where they are in the city.

The mobile web experience, which responsively adjusts StreetEasy site features and functionality to a mobile screen without an app, extends the reach of this information to virtually any mobile user, regardless of device.

“The relationship between real estate and location-based technology is incredibly strong, especially in a high-density area like New York City where buildings dominate the landscape and so much exploration is done on foot,” said Susan Daimler, General Manager of StreetEasy. “It’s crucial for NYC buyers and renters to be equipped with StreetEasy on mobile and now they are, regardless of their phone or device.”

The new StreetEasy real estate apps can be downloaded for free from the Google® Play Store on Android devices and from the App Store on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch®.
