Hackensack Meridian Health to Add Connexient’s GPS in Hospitals to Help Patients and Families Better Navigate, Save Time
New technology is latest in network’s innovative strategies to enhance patient experience
EDISON, N.J., Feb. 13, 2019 /PRNewswire/ — Hackensack Meridian Health, New Jersey’s largest and most integrated health network, is pleased to announce it is partnering with Connexient, the health care leader in digital wayfinding and indoor GPS, to help patients and families better navigate the network’s 17 hospitals.

Hackensack Meridian Health initially deployed Connexient’s MediNav successfully at Hackensack University Medical Center and plans to launch the technology at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in March. Ultimately, it will be deployed at all network hospitals. Additionally, Connexient’s MediNav will be integrated with Epic’s MyChart within the HMH Well mobile application which gives users access to lab results, appointment information, current medications, immunization history and more on their mobile device.
MediNav provides the world’s most advanced turn-by-turn indoor navigation with popular features like Parking Planner and Meet Me.

Following on these deployments of the MediNav technology, Hackensack Meridian Health will work in partnership with MediNav to create additional functionality by integrating Epic MyChart’s appointment scheduling with MediNav’s indoor GPS and location services. This collaboration will create a seamless, “home to appointment” experience for patients.
